But it may also mean that the studio believes the movie is not sure-fire Oscar fodder, except for the presumed acting nod for Daniel Day-Lewis. Studios with confidence (however misplaced) that their films are award front-runners usually release as close to Christmas as possible.<br /><br />As for "Green Blade Rising"... who knows? I am also a member of several Lincoln organizations.<br /><br />I was able to view the beautifully restored carriage at the new Lincoln exhibits at the Indiana State Museum yesterday. Very impressive carriage and collection. I highly recommend seeing it. I was able to see the "AL" emblem on the door quite clearly. It's was something I had always wanted to see. Very cool. I was criticizing the documentary's director, who I think unfairly edited Smith's comments during the film and wasted his expertise. I would have liked to have heard more from Smith.<br /><br />I'm glad you enjoyed your class with Prof. Smith. I met him briefly when I visited the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield shortly after it opened.
